19-year-old Dexter Rashad Vanstory and 22-year-old Malcolm Wayne Simpson, already inmates at Guilford County Jail have been accused of luring a deputy into their cell at approximately 9 p.m., where they then attacked him. After attacking the deputy, they then attacked a second deputy.

Vanstory was being held, without bail, at Guilford County’s prison  in connection to multiple armed robberies that occurred in August 2014. He was arrested and faces the following charges: assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, first-degree kidnapping, attempted armed robbery, robbery and conspiracy in those crimes.

Simpson was arrested in June 2014 for shooting a man at a Greensboro gas station after they got into an argument.
